I do think there may be interesting ways to fix it though. How to Download and Install Sid Meier's Civilization V SDK for Free Perhaps you have tips under your sleeves for this new issue of mine. In a nutshell, I suspect it is because of Windows 11 and that I may have to resort to a Windows 7 VM somewhen but in the meantime I would like to fix it within the constraints of Windows 10/11 Beta as I can't really do any serious modding on my Linux Manjaro personal workstation as far as doing it natively goes (as of the full intended experience of quality DirectX11 Windows-exclusive optimizations and graphic modes).įor the memo, you should note that I tested the ModBuddy which works as intended from my test run, Nexus is as dysfonctional as per expected I have not configured it properly on this laptop just yet, and the Pitboss works as intended too so it is exclusive to the World Builder of which I strongly need to make the total conversion game mods I am planning to do. ( image described as a dialog box with no title stating that "The Civilization 5 exe has crashed and can no longer provide services like mod info") And no one else on the internet seems to have had the same problem except for in the link above.Īs I am looking to solve a different issue out of my P52 laptop running a recent Windows 11 Beta build, I tried accessing the SDK's Worldbuilder three times each with a restart in between each attempt and I have still a serious issue over it.Įven after setting it at the 1280x720p resolution before launching the SDK, it still gave the same error message after a couple of seconds of loading the Worldbuilder, which was the following image: I even started looking through the code files in the app folder to see if I could edit a different size amount in, but that proved futile. There is NO option to change display settings, change font size, "revert" to anything, or "change the size of text, apps, and other items" anywhere in the World Builder, SDK, or Steam. Maybe revert to that?") and the response ("Good call! I bumped up the slider in Display settings under "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" and it works fine now"), IS NOT POSSIBLE. However, both the solution suggested ("My SDK has the standard Windows font, which is smaller. ![]() ![]() ![]() The post details the exact same problem I am having, and has a screenshot of what we mean. When I research this issue on forums, the only thing I can find is this and IT IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL: I have right clicked and left clicked EVERYWHERE in World Builder, the SDK Menu, and Steam and cannot find a single place that allows me to adjust display options (or any options for that matter). ![]() It is like this when I adjust the sizes of the Display panel and the Map Editor Tools panel. It is like this for loaded maps or new maps. Nothing I seem to do allows me to edit the text/font size or move the entry field to the line below. This practically makes it impossible to edit or build maps because I won't be able to see what's going on. Ok, so I recently got back into Civ V and world building, but when I opened up my World Builder and tried to edit an old map, I noticed that the "Resource Amount" text (under the "Edit Plot" tab) was blocking the field where you enter or view the strategic resource's amount.
